Make a regional expansion feel coherent on both sides of the map.

Accelecom + Georgia Public Web

An acquisition changes more than a name. Customers, teams, websites, offices, and news coverage all need to recognize the same company—and understand what the expanded network makes possible.

the case study

What was
in motion.

Accelecom, a Macquarie Capital portfolio company, acquired Georgia Public Web in a transaction that closed September 30, 2022. Georgia Public Web became Accelecom Georgia, expanding the company’s network footprint across six contiguous states. The communications work sat inside a larger transaction group that included Accelecom leadership and ownership, the merger consultant, technical and financial advisers, legal teams, and government-affairs partners.

The decisions that shaped it.

01

Create one transition narrative

Align the acquisition announcement, regional value proposition, and brand language around continuity for customers and expanded reach across the Southeast.

02

Carry the merger into operational touchpoints

Oversee website consolidation, customer notices, office materials, and identity applications across the Kentucky and Georgia offices.

03

Coordinate the transaction room

Work closely with Macquarie Capital, Accelecom leadership, the merger consultant, lobbyists, and other advisers so public language stayed aligned with transaction timing, regulatory needs, and the operating plan.

04

Coordinate the public story

Lead media and external communications while the outsourced marketing team continued serving both regions through the transition.

05

Keep both offices moving

Lead marketing work across an eight-person team, balancing acquisition demands with active sales, customer, and corporate communication needs.

What the work included.

  • Acquisition and transition messaging
  • Website transition and content consolidation
  • Customer notices
  • Press release and media coordination
  • Stakeholder and adviser coordination
